There are times,
…places,
That bring memories back to us,
That we would rather forget.
And when that happens,
When memories get the best of us,
We can’t help but cry.
We cover up our heads and shed our tears.
Because that’s all we can do,
In that moment.
But we stick together,
We get back up.
We move forward.
And someday we will return,
To that place, or that memory,
But we will be stronger.
We will be the victor over our past.
Because while the evil stood at the top,
Towering over the weak,
We were building an alliance.
An army of battle worn warriors.
But they are the BEST soldiers on earth.
Because NOTHING can keep them down.
And we will be at the forefront of the rally.
Forging the way for all the wounded and weary.
And when we get to that thing or memory,
That holds power over us,
You and I will Burn it Down.
You and I will go there and burn it to the ground,
With our minds.
Because we will be that strong.
We will be that confident,
We will be that brilliant.
And our fire will blaze that bright,
For all the people to see.
And up on that mountain,
In front of the flames,
Will be our silhouettes,
Bordered by the fire from our souls.
Because nothing. NOTHING, can keep us down.
Nothing will ever keep down,
The people who have a will to live.
And every day will be brighter,
With each new spark that lights.
